For 1500 years, Lukasz was a soldier in a war between two powerful sorcerers. Every time he was killed, he was magically inserted into a new body, taking over the life to cut all ties. But then his side was betrayed; his final death landed him in the body of a woman, Eden Blake, who had the potential to become a powerful sorceress. Forced to actually live the life he'd taken over instead of cutting ties, Lukasz as Eden came to care for Eden's children, and operated in his/her native universe as Mantra, one of a new breed of "ultras" (that universe's version of superhumans).
And then Mantra, along with the two children - Evie and Gus - and two other ultra-heroes in a mystic battle with the traitor fell through a dimensional rift to land in a universe quite similar to but also unlike their own.
Spinning out of Marvel Comics Presents, Mantra is a story of living in a world not your own and choosing how to start over - and if you even want to go home.
